 Procedure Text 

- Definition

Procedure Text is a text that is designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or steps.

- Social Function 

to describe how something is completely done through a sequence of steps.

- Generic Structure of Procedure Text

1. Goal : How to make spaghetti

2. Material or Ingredient : 

The material to cook omelette are:

- egg

- onion

- vegetable oil

3. Step :

- first, wash the tomatoes, onion.

- second cut the onions becomes

- Purpose of Procedure Text

– To explain / tell (the reader) how to make / operate / do something through a sequence of actions or steps.

– To explain steps / instruction to make / operate / do something

Example:

1. First go to Zoom meeting and than tap More in the controls

2. Tap Virtual Background (Android) or Background and Filters (iOS)

3. Tap the background you would like to apply or tap + to upload a new image. 

4. And then the background will be automatically applied.
